About

Jeff Mueller is a Web developer, user experience designer, and writer with a penchant for usable interfaces and an eye for good design.

Jeff spent his formative years on the Texas Gulf Coast. At the age of five, he began writing BASIC code on a TRS-80. In high school, he began writing short stories. Somewhere along the way, the two interests collided.

In 2007, Jeff graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of NYU with a B.S. in Technical Communication, which is also known as Writing for Nerds. His coursework introduced him to human factors, usability, and human-computer interaction.

Prior to doing Web work, Jeff spent many hours as a grocery store clerk, video game sales associate, computer repair person, and tech support guy for a local Internet service provider.

In the last two years, Jeff has developed a PHP-based content management system for his clients and started a small endeavor while working full time for the University of Texas. Spare moments are spent posting things to his blog, reading RSS feeds, and learning to design and build iPhone and iPad apps.

Like lots of other people, he uses the Web to share his thoughts, his favorite music, a photo or two, and links to stuff he finds particularly noteworthy.

Jeff can be found in and around Austin, Texas, and he hopes to see all of you at South by Southwest Interactive next March.

His favorite tools of the trade include a trusty MacBook Pro and a cup of coffee. If you’re interested in Jeff’s resume, you can view it here or download a PDF of it. He also has a profile on LinkedIn.

You can send Jeff a message if you want. No spam, please; he's vegetarian.
